Ambidextrous Design

The symmetrical design works equally well for left- and right-handed users, ensuring versatile comfort.

Ergonomically Designed to Reduce Strain

The Kensington Orbit Trackball Mouse is engineered to support healthier hand, wrist, and forearm mechanics during computer use. By eliminating the need to move the entire mouse across the desk, the stationary trackball design significantly reduces repetitive wrist deviation and forearm pronation two primary contributors to upper-limb discomfort associated with traditional mice.

Cursor movement is controlled through finger motion rather than wrist movement, allowing the wrist to remain in a more stable, neutral position.

Supports Neutral Wrist and Forearm Alignment

The contoured housing of the Kensington Orbit is shaped to support the hand in a relaxed posture, helping to limit excessive wrist extension and ulnar/radial deviation. Maintaining a neutral wrist alignment can help reduce cumulative stress on tendons, nerves, and soft tissue structures in the wrist and forearm during prolonged computer use.

Reduced Shoulder and Elbow Load

Because the Orbit Trackball remains stationary, users are not required to reach, drag, or reposition the device. This minimises repetitive shoulder abduction and elbow movement, which can contribute to fatigue or discomfort over extended periods of desk work. Reduced upper-arm activity may be beneficial for users managing shoulder, elbow, or forearm sensitivity.

Fine Motor Control with Lower Physical Demand

The centrally positioned trackball allows precise cursor control using small, controlled finger movements. Adjustable cursor sensitivity enables users to reduce force and movement amplitude, supporting efficient motor control with lower muscular effort.

Suitable for Prolonged Computer Use

Designed for extended daily use, the Kensington Orbit Trackball Mouse supports ergonomic principles commonly recommended in occupational and clinical workstation assessments. It is well suited for users seeking to reduce repetitive strain, manage discomfort, or improve long term comfort during computer-based tasks.
